Omar Abdullah who is just 38 is sworn in as the Chief Minister of the Paradise on Earth, Jammu and Kashmir. He is the 3rd generation in the Abdullah family to be sworn in as C.M. of the state following his grandfather Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah and his father Farooq Abdullah.

At 28, Omar stepped into politics and became an MP. At 29, he became the Minister of State in the NDA Alliance which was led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee (1999-2004). At 32, he became the President of the National Conference. "I am a Muslim and I am an Indian, and I see no distinction between the two," said Omar at a meeting to support the UPA's Nuclear Deal in Parliament. These speeches got him a permanent place in the hearts of our country-men. At 38, now he is sworn in as the Chief Minister of J&K. Omar has a long way ahead and his path is not an easy one.
