Suresh Joachim (39), who lives in Toronto has set a Guinness record on Sunday by "watching television non-stop for 72 hours". Sri Lanka-born Joachim already has 53 Guinness records. He broke his own previous record of 69 hours and 48 minutes established in 2005 at New York's ABC Studios. The new record has been set at Stockholm. Many attempts were made in the past 3 years by several persons and all went in vain.Suresh's record-breaking feat began at 8 p.m. on Thursday and ended on Sunday in the evening. He spent his time watching episodes of a drama series and drinking cups of coffee. Some of the other major records of Joachim include:
1. karaoke marathon (25 hours, 49 minutes), the longest radio broadcast (120 hours),
2. longest time standing on one foot (76 hours, 40 minutes),
3. bout of ironing clothes (55 hours, five minutes),
4. Drumming continuously for 84 hours,
5. run on a treadmill for 168 hours to cover 659.27 km,
6. carried a 4.5 kg brick for 135.5 km,
7. crawled non-stop for 56.62 km,
8. dribbled a basketball for 156.71 km in 24 hours,
9. danced for 100 hours continuously,
10. moon walked for 24 hours,
11. performed at a non-stop musical for 42 hours,
12. pushed a car for 19.2 km in 24 hours and
13. bowled for 168 hours.
