Indians clinched the 2nd ODI in the 5 match series against Sri Lanka. India won the crucial match by 15 runs here in Colombo. Thilina Kandamby was the top scorer for the Lankans who remained un-beaten at 93 followed by the skipper Jayawardene.

Ishant Sharma was named the Player of the Match for his stunning 4 for 57. Indian pace attack of Zaheer, Ishant and Pravin broke the top order of the Lankans and then it was the skipper and Kandamby who came to the rescue of the home team. Kandamby remained un-beaten till the end of the match but all his efforts went in vain as India clinched the match from the hands of the Lankans. It was India's 7th consecutive win in the One day Internationals.
