It has been traced out that Google Earth has played a significant role in planning various terror attacks by terrorists. The recent 26/11 attacks on Mumbai's Taj, Oberoi and Nariman House were planned with the help of Google Earth. The Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists had used the Google Earth in planning the attack on paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) post earlier this year.


The arrested terrorist Fahim Ansari, who was a helper in planning the 26/11 attacks revealed the fact about Google Earth during his interrogation. While a person types some place in Google Earth, immediately he gets a clear map of that place which helps out the terrorists and makes their work of planning much easier. As a result, a case was filed for banning the Google Earth site bu the case was dismissed by the Judge.
